Well-crafted strategic plans help camps become stronger, more focused and aligned across stakeholders. JCamp 180’s strategic planning services helps camps articulate and implement their long-term goals. Strategic planning processes help camps achieve this through wrestling with the challenges, opportunities, and choices they face, and developing a road map that sets out goals, strategies, and an implementation plan to enable them to become more effective and sustainable.

Drawing on the experience of working with over 140 Jewish day and overnight camps for more than 15 years, JCamp 180 will customize a strategic planning approach that meets your unique needs.

Services

Comprehensive

A comprehensive Strategic Planning process will take 6-9 months. The process is customizable to best address the critical questions currently facing the organization and will cover many strategic category areas of interest. If your camp is in need of a new shared vision for the future, or is anticipating a major transition or business opportunity in the near future that may fundamentally alter your organization’s plans, a comprehensive plan may be ideal. JCamp 180 can guide, facilitate and coach through this process. JCamp 180 will not be the primary author of any strategic planning report.

Refresh

Camps can also embark on a custom refresh of their current strategic plan. This process normally takes 2-4 months. A refresh is ideal for camps that wish to refresh their prior strategic plan created with JCamp 180, or a camp that is facing an urgent challenge or opportunity that needs to be addressed quickly.

Guided Accelerated Program

JCamp 180 also offers a guided accelerated strategic planning process through its Camp GPS Program which debuted in 2022. Applications for the next cohort opens in the fall. Camp GPS is best suited for Day or Overnight camps that have a good sense of their future vision for the organization. Camps that wish to refresh their prior strategic plan created with JCamp 180 may also want to consider this program.
