Legacy

Plan now for gifts that are realized at the end of donors’ lives, gifts to camp that establish a legacy for the camp

Why Legacy
Your camp has many friends who want your camp to be successful for generations to come. Inviting these friends and alumni to be part of a legacy program will be meaningful to them and will also bring your camp financial stability.

To date, 56 camps have participated in JCamp 180's Camp Legacy Initiative. Approximately 3,580 individuals and families have made legacy pledges to camps, representing an estimated $76.5 million in future commitments to their favorite camps.  Harold Grinspoon and JCamp 180 are very proud of these achievements!

JCamp 180 is committed to helping your organization apply best practices to your camp’s governance. We’ve hand-picked the resources below to get you started. Thanking
Everyone likes to be thanked and appreciated. In this section, you will find information on the importance of thanking your donors through a planned and heartfelt process of recognition and stewardship.

Legacy stewardship is the process by which you establish a planned consistent communication with your donors to deepen the relationship with them and their families. Here you will find information on how to responsibly plan and manage ongoing appreciation of your donors. Practical and camp specific information is available to you on best practices in cultivation, recognition, and stewardship of your Legacy donors.

Samples
You can learn a lot from other Jewish camps, and we encourage camps to freely share samples, tips, and tools with one another through our Knowledge Center.  If you don’t see what you are looking for here, please try using the search function on the main Knowledge Center page where many more resources are housed.

These Legacy samples from other camps have been some of the most requested items in recent years.
