Exciting grants announcements for day and overnight Jewish camps!

Last night, JCamp 180 and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) announced new grants for Jewish camps at our JCamp 180 conference! Read on to learn more about the new grants.

Supporting nonprofit Jewish overnight camps!

Building on the success of the All Together Now campaigns from 2020 – 2022, HGF and JCamp 180 announced a new grant for overnight camps: Forward Together.

The Forward Together matching grant will invest $25 million over the next five years (2023 – 2027) to more than 100 nonprofit Jewish overnight camps affiliated with JCamp 180. Forward Together will provide unrestricted support to the camps along with capital investments for the physical improvements that are necessary for camp success.

Camps will be eligible to receive $1 from HGF for every $3 they raise from other donors, with an opportunity to secure a $10,000 bonus if they raise $4 for every $1. The grant will begin in 2023 for all overnight camps affiliated with JCamp 180. More details about Forward Together were highlighted in eJewishPhilanthropy's "Your Daily Phil" for October 24.

Supporting nonprofit Jewish day camps!

HGF and JCamp 180 announces the third year of the JCamp 180 DAY matching grant, with increases to the matching pool of funds. The 2023 JCamp 180 DAY matching grant program is available to nonprofit Jewish Day Camps in the United States and Canada interested in fundraising for physical improvements to better serve Jewish campers. We welcome all non-profit Jewish Day Camps in the United States and Canada to apply to this competitive grant, regardless of JCamp affiliation for a maximum grant of $25,000. The grant will begin in mid-2023; more details about the application timeline will be available soon.
