Happy Passover from the JCamp 180 Team!

Last year, our Passover greeting said: “The story of Passover is as relevant as ever this year. We tell the story of the liberation of our ancestors, and we recount the ten plagues. In a year where the COVID pandemic - our own modern-day plague - finally began to recede, some of us continue to face mudslides, massive snows, and rains. Many around the world face turmoil, conflict, war, and exile. We might wonder, what is next?

Sadly, we have our answer. It was hard to imagine we would be here, with the ongoing Israel-Hamas War and rising antisemitism at home. In times like this, we turn to our camp communities to reclaim our joy.

This Passover, especially, we honor and celebrate the freedom at the root of our Seder. Camp is where Jewish children and young people are free to be Jewish, to learn, thrive, and grow.

We also pray for the freedom of the hostages and peace for all. May this Passover be joyful for your camp community and for all in our greater Jewish community.

Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach,
The JCamp 180 Team
