Photos and Videos to collect for Fundraising and Anniversary Events

IMG_3860.JPGIt’s that time of the year and we know you have a million tasks on your pre-summer checklist. With that in mind, we want to share some ideas of media (photos, videos, and more) you can collect this summer to set yourself up for year-round fundraising and stewardship success.  

Are you a staff or lay leader focused on development, communications, or alumni engagement at camp? The ideas here will help you deepen donor relations, create additional stewardship touchpoints, and promote year-round engagement with various stakeholders.    

Assets and Media for Fundraising:
Assets and Media for an Anniversary Event: 
  • “Then-and-now” photos/videos
    • Staging the same photo from the archives in modern times
    • Filming a similar video shot to transition from “old” to new video (think of the transition to color in The Wizard of Oz)
    • What activities or traditions used to look like versus now
  • Interviews with 2nd/3rd/4th generation campers (and their families) 
  • “What is your hope for camp [Anniversary Year #] of years from now?”

  • Jewish Holidays
  • American/Canadian Holidays (Thanksgiving, Independence Days)
  • Hallmark/Misc Holidays (Halloween, Valentines, Earth Day, etc)

  • Inside of bunks (both without kids and with)

  • “Virtual Tour” photos or videos
