Complete the Camp Census for the Field…and Your Camp

ICYMI, the annual Camp Census is open and live! Someone at your camp should have received an email from the Foundation for Jewish Camp with information about how to access and complete the census. If you run into any issues, you can contact data@jewishcamp.org.

Value for the Field and for Your Camp

Not only is the Census vitally helpful to the field, but did you know it is also directly helpful to your camp?

Using the collected data, JCamp 180 can develop and provide personalized data analyses to help you and your lay leaders understand how your day or overnight camp compares to the field across a variety of metrics, including camps of different sizes, camps from different regions, and more.

As a taste of what you can expect, this chart displays the average collected tuition per camper week. Knowing how your camp compares to the field can help you better know where you could improve and help plan for the future.

Average Collected Tuition Per Camper Week

As part of our JCamp 180 consulting services, we can offer additional customized reports that look at a wide variety of different budget categories, filter data by region or movement, and build calculated metrics such as scholarships as a percentage of tuition. Note: all peer data will remain aggregated and anonymous.

To make all this analysis as impactful as possible, it is critical to provide accurate data in a timely way - it is due November 1. The JCamp 180 financial section (Part C) is the backbone of this work. Please make sure to complete this piece - and the rest of the Camp Census – soon.

Thanks in advance for the time that you devote to the annual Census.  We know how much time it takes and we’re committed to continuing to improve the feedback loop back to camps.
