PJ Goes to Camp: Camperships for Day School Students
For the fourth consecutive year, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation will make available a limited number of "PJ Goes to Camp" incentive awards for students of Jewish day schools who will be attending a qualified* non-profit Jewish overnight summer camp for the first time in the summer of 2015. These awards of up to $1000 each are NOT based on need. This incentive program, part of the Foundation for Jewish Camp's "One Happy Camper program, is one of very few that offers a campership to students who attend a Jewish day school.
Because the number of incentives available is limited, the grants will be awarded through a lottery of eligible applicants. To be eligible, the camper (or a sibling) must be a recipient or alumnus of PJ Library prior to September 1, 2014. Applicants MUST register for the lottery prior to November 3, 2014 and the lottery drawing will take place on November 10th. After that date we do not anticipate that PJ Goes to Camp will have additional campership awards available for students who attend Jewish day schools.
This day school student lottery program is separate from the PJ Goes to Camp / One Happy Camper incentives for students who attend public schools or non-Jewish private day schools. Enrollment for Incentives for public school students runs from October 15, 2014 through March 30, 2015 and these more widely available incentives are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

It is important to note that PRIOR TO applying for the lottery, families should be registered for the 2015 camp season, and have received a day school lottery referral code.
