Fundraising: Show and Tell - Successful Camp Visits for Donors and Prospects

It's May and every camp is gearing up for an incredible summer. But have you started inviting donors and prospects to visit camp yet? The summer provides an incredible opportunity to engage your donors in the magic of camp. But every detail - the invitation, the logistics, the tour itself, and the follow-up engagement plan - must be in place in advance to ensure you take advantage of this opportunity.

This Webinar (and related resources) from 2010 is still relevant today and can help you and your camp make the most of the summer for donor/prospect engagement.

Governance: The 990 - Your Camp's Single Most Powerful Tool

Do you know when your camp's IRS Form 990 is due? Is your nonprofit organization ready to fill it out? Does your form accurately, if at all, describe the non-financial aspects of your nonprofit's operation such as governance, or fundraising? Has your form been reviewed by your board?

Asking and answering these questions is important not only because it ensures your organization's legal and financial compliance, but also because it changes your understanding of what that form and its schedules - if approached differently - can do for your organization.

Read this article from JCamp 180 Mentor Natasha Dresner (which originally appeared in the Berkshire Eagle) for tips on filling out the IRS Form 990 completely and accurately to the benefit of your camp.

Technology & Outreach: Driving Camper Satisfaction - Lessons from the Field

Did you miss our latest Webinar? Every year dozens of camps conduct a Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) Customer Satisfaction Survey. On this Webinar, Mark Sass, FJC's Customer Satisfaction Insights founder and guru, shared his perspectives from ten years of surveying over 100,000 camper experiences. Mark broke down what factors influence - and do not influence - overall satisfaction and the likelihood of having campers recommending your camp. Mark also told us what's planned for future surveys. Then Aaron Selkow, Director of URJ Camp Harlam, presented some industry-leading ways for your camp to go beyond "Wow!" in those aspects of camp that are most important to your camp families and thereby help you boost camper retention and recruitment.

Check out this Webinar to learn more about the Customer Satisfaction Survey and how to drive camper satisfaction to improve retention and recruitment.
