2017 Annual Conference - Save the Date!
In response to participant feedback, we've made two changes to our annual conference in 2017.
First, we have moved the conference to earlier in the year to allow visitors a chance to enjoy the New England Fall foliage. The conference will be held from October 22-24, 2017 in Springfield, MA.
Second, we have extended to the length of the conference by a day to provide both more learning opportunities and allow for more networking time.
Stay tuned for more exciting news about the 2017 #JCampConf!
2016 Annual Conference: Open, Generous, Connected
"Open, generous and connected: Isn't that what we seek from a co-worker, boss, friend or even a fellow conference attendee?"
- Seth Godin, Marketing Guru/Camp Arawhon Alumnus
Each summer we teach thousands of Jewish campers and staff the virtue of generosity - of nedivut. And we encourage them all to appreciate and share their unique gifts with one another and the world.
But can we as camp leaders model the same spirit of generosity we hope to ignite within our campers? Might a commitment to nedivut have the power to transform our own work and our peers?
When we are generous - and allow others to be - we are uplifted as professionals, as lay leaders, as organizations. Seth Godin encourages conference participants to be "open to new ideas, …generous when given the opportunity… [and] connected: part of the community interested in not only cheering people on, but shining a light on how they can accomplish their goals."
This is the spirit of this year's JCamp 180 Conference. We look forward to welcoming you and more than 400 other Jewish Camp leaders who together will experience "Open, Generous and Connected" on November 6-7, 2016 at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel.
Who Should Attend?
Our conference is designed to meet the needs of executive and lay leaders as well as the development professionals of our affiliated Jewish camps and partner organizations. Workshop content is devoted primarily to JCamp 180's core focus areas: Fundraising, Board Development, Strategic Planning, and Technology. We are also including some sessions on enrollment: recruitment and retention. And throughout the conference we encourage all attendees to take advantage of both formal and informal networking opportunities with new and old peers who share our passion for Jewish camp.
The conference will take place on Sunday, November 6 and Monday, November 7 in Springfield, MA. This high-level conference schedule should help you with your 2016 travel planning.
