Using Social Media to Enhance Fundraising

Mark Gold, Director of JCamp 180

Traditionally, a December eNewsletter evokes the past year's successes and looks forward to the programs in the year ahead. Having communicated about those issues during our conference we are using this eNewsletter to address current concerns. There's no topic more current than year-end gifts. I know many camps are planning year-end fundraising efforts, be they mailings or phone-a-thons. URJ Camp George shows how they were able to breathe new life into their fundraising efforts this year with social media communications.

Looking for more ideas for engaging your audience and soliciting year-end gifts? Check out our recent Facebook post about a year-end opportunity to grab your constituents' attention.

For those of you who have already felt the fury of winter weather, and to those of you living in a friendlier climate, all of us at JCamp 180 wish you a successful end of year fundraising campaign and Happy New Year.

Using Social Media to Enhance your Fundraising

Organizations would love to turn Social Media channels like Facebook and Twitter into a fundraising goldmine. However, direct fundraising hasn't been consistently successful on these channels.
