Open Letter to New Board Members of #jewishcamp

Mark Gold, Director of JCamp 180

Most of you have relocated to your summer home...or even started camp! Knowing how hectic things are for professional staff, we've decided to give camp staff a "deferral" on our eNewsletter this month - we understand if you don't get to it today.

However, the same deferral from reading the eNewsletter doesn't apply to board members - particularly newly elected board members. The eNewsletter also links to a short video that answers the question: "Are you ready for a Capital Campaign?" The video is well worth your time, even if your next Capital Campaign is a year or two in the future.

To the professionals of our partner camps: Enjoy the opening days of the 2013 camp season and try to get back to our eNewsletter in the coming days. To the lay leaders of our partner camps: I welcome your feedback on both the open letter and our video review. If you have any suggestions for future eNewsletters, please let me know - we're always looking to share best practices across Jewish Camps.

Have a great year.

Mark Gold
Director, JCamp 180

Is Your Camp Ready for a Capital Campaign?

We are often asked by our camps if they should embark on a major Capital Campaign.

To answer this question, JCamp 180 Mentors Dan Kirsch and Julia Riseman recorded a 15 minute video that reviews the critical success factors for successful Capital Campaigns.
